MASS has moved! Please use our new site at www.m-assonline.com
The following is outdated and irrelevant information. Please use our new site!
The Melbourne University Arts Students' Society (or MASS, as it is more commonly known) represents all undergraduate Arts students currently enrolled at Melbourne.
There is no joining fee, but for just $10 you can purchase a really funky keyring that will entitle you to discounts at Threshermans Bakery, Edward Beale hairdressing (Lygon St) and all of our MASS events!
All positions are voted for at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held each year in May. As your elected student representatives, we're here to help you get what you want - so just let us know!
Our faithful mascot is the donkey. Why? The donkey is also known as an 'ass', which coincides with name of our society (get it? M-ASS?) so you'll probably seeing a lot of them around. . . Dan felt that some people would need that extra explanation*
Not only is there the official MASS committee, but there are also numerous sub-committees you can join depending on your interests. You can help with organizing social events, finding sponsors, or even helping with this webpage and other publications - all things that can help build important skills you can use after uni!
Combined with the Arts Faculty's Kickstart Your Career program, we'll try and help you get the most out of your Arts degree.
We welcome any suggestions you might have for social activities, and anyone interested in being part of the committee is welcome to send us an email to the address below.
