Star Trek Episode Countdown
Synopsis: The Crew takes a vacation on Risa.
Over All:
An okay episode, it was interesting to see the crew on
vacation, but otherwise it was kind of boring.
Pros:
- It was interesting to see  a Tendaren again, first shown in the
episode "Detained",. When the girl Archer flirts with throughout the episode ends up being a tendaren that grills Archer about the Suliban the same way Colonel Grat did. But there were a bit too vague about her, they didn't explain any thing about her or her "mission".
- The funniest Enterprise episode so far, they plot with Doctor Phlox and his hibernation cycle was hilarous, as was the plot with Tucker and Reed trying to score with two chicks that ends up to be shape shifting robbers.
Cons:
- Although the plot with Tucker and Reed trying to "get some"
was funny it was not consistant with what has already been established about Risa. It should not have been so hard for them to score, all they had to do was get a horga'hn. In TNG's "Captain's Holiday" Picard was displaying on and he was bombarded by beautiful women offering "Jamahron" and in DS9's "Let He Who Is Without Sin" as soon as Qaurk arrived he was walking sround with two horga'hns and two beautiful women flocked to him instantly. Someone should have tell Reed and Tucker about them. Although this is taking place 200 years before these facts were established so there could have been due to changes in the Risan culture but I find that Unlikely. Even if they didn't have horga'hns back then, it still should have been alot easy for them to score, and without having to go to a cheesy club.
- At the start of the episode Archer mentions that the crewmembers that got to go on vacation were choosen at random, and only half of the crew got to go. That seems dumb to me, why didn't they stay longer than two days, and give time for everyone to go down on rotation. I don't see what was so important that they couldn't stay a bit longer, especially considering that it took them so long to get there.
