Star Trek Episode Countdown
Synopsis: T'Pol tells Archer and Tripp a story about three Vulcans that visited a small town in Pennsylvania in the 1950's.
Over All:
A silly episode, that is somewhat interesting, but over all just
plain stupid.
Pros:
- It was kind of interesting to see three Vulcans try to blend in on
earth in 1950's. We've seen TNG episodes, like "Who watches the Watchers", "First Contact", "Homeward" and Enterprise's "Civilization" where the crew go to an underdeveloped alien planet and disguise themselves has the native, but it was interesting to see aliens visitt Earth when it was underdevoloped, and trying to blend in.
- It was really good to finally see a Vulcan that actaully liked humans, and wanted to live amonst them.
Cons:
- I don't like the general idea of this episode of T'Pol telling Archer
and Tripp a story.
- I don't like how Archer, T'Pol and Tripp are like Enterprise's click. How they have the three of them have dinner together all the time. They try to make it like Kirk, Spock and McCoy, And it's too much like it. TNG, DS9, and VOY tried to be different from TOS, Enterprise tries to copy it, and that is the main reason why I don't like Enterprise.
- At the end of this episode T'Pol tells Archer that, while on Earth, she also visited Carlsbead Carvens and Yellow Stone Park, because she's interested in geology. Yet in the episode
"Broken Bow", Archer asked T'Pol if she visited several places on Earth, including the Grand Canyon, and she said no, that she wasn't there to go sight seeing. Well if she so interesting in geology, you would think the Grand Canyon would be the first place she would go.
- And the whole thing at the end with T'Pol leading Archer and Tripp to believe that the story wasn't true, but then you find out that it was, was really stupid. This episode could have
really done without it.
