Star Trek Episode Countdown
Synopsis: A Klingon crashes in a farm in Oklahoma, Archer leads the mission to return the Klingon to his homeworld, on Enterprises first mission.
Over All:
A boring and stupid episode, that confirmed my suspicions
that Enterprise was going to suck.
Pros:
- This was the begining of the temporal cold war. A very
interesting theme in the series.
- These Suliban make a pretty descent Advesary
- It is kind of interesting how this crew seems more like astronoughts than any of the others crews in Trek series.
Cons:
- It trys too hard to be "cool". The theme song to the series is one
example, another is when Archer tells T'Pol that he is restraining himself from knocking T'Pol on her ass, trying to sound cool, but he ends up sounding like a dork.
- In the TNG episode "First Contact" Picard says that a bad first contact with the Klingons lead to war, however in this episode we see first contact with the Klingons and it doesn't lead to war.
- The scene where T'Pol and Tripp are in that stupid room, waiting to be sterlized or whatever, is really, really stupid. They odvously are trying to be all sexy, but I just thought it was dumb.
- I don't like how they potray the Vulcans in this series. They're a bunch of assholes that hold the humans back. In "Star Trek : First Contact" Troi tells Zefren Cochrane that the Vulcans are "good guys", boy he must of been pissed when he found out that they were a bunch of assholes
- The transporter is supposed to be a new technology in this time peroid, they're not even sure it's safe to transport life, however the actaul beam is alot quicker and more effecient than what was shown on TOS, where the beam took forever to use, which would make alot more sense here since its when its so new, but its almost better than the ones used on Voyager..
