I've known Kenneth for several years. He's been one of the closest friends I've had, and was also one of the seven groomsmen at my wedding. I highly value his friendship, as we've been there for each other and share many interests, one of which is movies. Kenneth has decided to use his love of movies as his career; he currently is a student at the University of North Texas learning how to make films. To enroll, he had to put together a short film, which was done with Microsoft's 3D Movie Maker. I got to assist in this process of the film, titled Blood Brothers 2 - The Return of Bloodgood. It was, truthfully, a unfinished mess ( kind of like my webpage, huh? ), but it got him in. Now I have a copy of his first film for class, Exploding Girl.
But first, he included a even shorter film ( about 2 minutes ), called The Duck's Dream. This is merely clips of outdoor scenes at a pond with ducks waddling and swimming around. It's accompanied by soothing music in the background, but I don't know what song. Look for a bizarre cameo by Mikey from Exploding Girl. Overall, a passable piece, but this is just a warm-up for the main event...

Synopsis The film follows the paths of three guys, two students and a Halloween mask-wearing knife lover, as they chase a mysterious blonde girl in a blue outfit. Charley, the first character we see, is sitting around on a college campus, when he sees the girl. Awestruck, he imagines himself driving around with her and feeling on top of the world. Some random woman points at him in happy surprise in the dream. He awakes and realizes the girl is gone. He starts to feel depressed, but notices a notebook on the ground and figures it must be hers. Off he goes on his search! Steve and his girlfriend are in a coffee shop arguing. In disgust, Steve turns away from her and sees the blonde walking by outside. Immediately, he imagines laying in her ( or what he perceives to be her ) lap under a tree. Steve is interrupted by his girlfriend continuing the fight. He then gets up and walks outside, but the blonde is gone again. We see someone's feet walking on grass as ominous music plays. As the camera pans up, we meet the third main character, Mikey, who is in a blue jumpsuit and wears a disfigured mask. He continues to walk along the sidewalk until he notices the blonde across the street. Mikey looks at the sky and remembers ( presumably ) his childhood where he tried to look tough, but a crowd of students laughed at him relentlessly. He then decides to go after the blonde as well. Mikey examines his weapon, a butterknife, and decides that he needs a more practical weapon... Meanwhile, Charley continues his search into town. He stops for a second and puts the notebook down on the trunk of a car so he can tie his shoe, but the car drives off with the notebook! Charley gets depressed but then sees the blonde a few streets down, and hurries to catch up to her. Unfortuanately, he slips on a banana peel and falls. A guy eating a banana ( K.W. Sutton, in his first cameo, wearing a VERY fake mustache ) blissfully ignores Charley as he keeps running in the direction of the blonde... Steve continues his search, and ends up daydreaming again, this time in a bunch of still images of a man and a woman on dates, a wedding, growing old, etc. He is brought back to reality when a football hits him in the head. Angry, he throws the ball back to the two boys who own it, and walks off. Mikey, looking for a better weapon, notices a " House of Knives " in a mall. He rechecks his butterknife ( in an interesting switchblade motion ), and enters the store. The girl behind the counter is terrified and the only customer ( Sutton again, dressed differently ) runs in terror. Mikey tries out different weapons, first a trowel, then a HUGE fake knife, and finally decides on a slightly rusted machete... The three run into each other; Charley and Steve are somewhat confused over Mikey's appearance. Suddenly, they spot the blonde getting into her vehicle and driving off. They panic, but Charley spots a large man leaning up against his truck. They run over to him and try to persuade him to let them borrow the truck. Steve and Charley unsuccessfully attempt to bribe the driver, using a debit card and a banana, but he already has both of those. Mikey then threatens the guy with the machete, convincing him. Steve, Charley, and Mikey pile into the truck and drive off, cutting to a black-and-white Charlie Chaplin homage. Finally, they find the blonde again and walk up to her. She turns around and...
