in central Iowa, I guess I just love the four seasons. After graduating
from ISU in 1983, I went to work for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Iowa
until 2001 and while there, I received my masters degree from Drake in
Health Care Administration and Finance. I left my marketing management
position in 2001 to pursue what is really important in life.... spending
more time with my husband and our children. During 2003, I was given the
opportunity to create an ideal "dual" career...as a career agent and Iowa
health care specialist for Farm Bureau. Although life has presented our
family with many challenges throughout the years---I have been blessed
beyond my dreams with a wonderful husband, kids, home, friends, job, and the
ability to participate in lots of fun activities...(although sometimes I
wish the schedule wasn't so busy)! Looking forward to seeing everyone
soon!!!!!!!!!!
My children continue to grow and change daily and constantly amaze me which reminds me how quickly time flys. My ideal dual career at Farm Bureau began to consume my life and took away that precious time with Scot and the children. So after lots of prayer, I was blessed with another opportunity in 2005 and was asked to help create an additional focus for the insurance agency at F & M Bank in Marshalltown and became their employee benefits specialist/agent. While I get to do something I enjoy, (setting up and maintaining benefit programs for employers), I have the opportunity to work with an awesome and supportive team that has life's priorities in the right order---family, God, then work! I also have been able to be in contact with friends from the past since this is the insurance agency that for many years was in the Security Bank in Laurel. It is wonderful to reflect on the great memories all my friends and classmates helped create! I just have to be careful that the children don't hear some of the stories and get some ideas!!!
