Date Done: January 20, 2003 Story: My best friend, Kendall, said she wanted to pierce her eyebrow, so when I heard about it, I thought it'd be cool to do my belly button!! After looking up a lot of stuff, I decided to do it! I numbed my belly button with ice and marked where I wanted it to be with pen. I made sure it was centered and everything and then clamped it. I poked around at the dot for a long time. The numbing went away very quickly and got very hot. After about a half an hour, I had it through and I very a very happy camper!!! It didn't hurt nearly as much as I had expected. the only thing I didn't like was how I felt very sick afterwards. I love adrenaline and everything, but maybe it was too much. It didn't matter though, I got what I wanted and it turned out better than I hoped. ![]() Needle: A sterilized sewing needle Gauge: I don't know Purchased: Cost: Jewelry: Currently, its just a needle that's protected on both ends Gauge: I dunno. She said she'd let me keep it in if it wasn' t infected. I kept it in anyways, and by this time, it was draining green puss. I don't know how much you guys know about medics, but the more green puss is, the more extreme the infection. I finally realized what I had to do. I had cleaned it plenty, but it was still in big trouble. After a week, it had finally stopped draining puss and blood and began to scab over and heal. By this time, I felt very embarrassed that I hadn't made it work. It's been a month and now I have a large pink circular scar where the needle had entered and exited. I'm going on a vacation very soon to Key West and my scars are going to show because I'm wearing a bikini. Now I'm wishing that I wouldn't have done it, and just kept begging my parents to let me get it done. However, after seeing how upset I got when I lost it, she offered to get it pierced again when it fully heals. It's pretty cool, but I wish the healing process wouldn't take so long! ![]()
