Nov/13/01 The backwardness of it all, oh well, I'll get this in chrononlogical order shortly. I just finished a lab exam. And once more, Murphy's Law holds true: anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Had total of six stations today: 1 on OTC (cough and stuffy nose), 1 on turbuhaler and Peak Flow Meter (turbohaler), 1 on Rx transvere and verbal changing Rx, 1 station with 2 Rx's to check (5-amino-salicyclic acid and sulfatrim DS), 1 on selecting correct product to despense for an antibiotic suspension), and 1 DIR (Rx requiring for medication for an animal, and Rx checking- I hope the only thing wrong with this was the dosing... though I have nacking feeling that I missed something . For the Rx checking, I'm absoulutely convinced that I am missing something; my form looked awfully blank. For two of the counselling stations, I ran out of time; only got to the self-monitoring point. For the cough/stuffy nose product, I changed which product I recommended in the middle and in the end, decided that I should of perhaps stuck with my original recommendation. And due to having to counsel on two meds, I ran out of time. Finally, for the DIR, I had absoulutely no idea what I was doing for the second question. I didn't know what books to look up, and what to look for. In the end, I just changed the dose. Oh and for the suspension thing, I didn't realize that I was suppose to stick on auxillary labels until it was too late... What more can go wrong? My 300 presentation perhaps? Oct/17/01 Most dreariful day it is...had enough of 325...had a lab in the morning, and finished off the day with a mid-term for that same course. Never want to hear nor see anything relating to that course again, at least not for the next little while. The mid-term went...well...what can I say? I was falling asleep during the thing and let's just say that my brain wasn't functioning optimally. Falling asleep meant that I had to wake up and reread a question or even reread what I was in the middle of writing. Overally, if not incoherent, my paper was quite illegible. Oh dear. But what can one expect? I slept an average of three to four hours for the past five days. So busy, always too much stuff to do. Oct/18/01 Why do they (pharm authoritative units) even bother suggesting that we can have our 315 midterm postponed to the following week?? On the most joyful week of November (the first week) I will be having this midterm along with a 300 lab quiz, a 380 midterm, and a 325 oral lab exam. They said that we can move the midterm on the condition that everybody- all 150 in the class agree to the change. Obviously with so many people, it is virtually impossible to please all. Four people objected- their basis was that they had a music concert, of some sort, to attend a day before that proposed date and did not want to have to worry about studying for a midterm the day after. Why can't these four people just study a bit earlier if that was their concern? Why drag all 145 student colleagues down with them? Life can be so unfair sometimes. Oct/31/01 Two down and two more to go. It's a conspiracy to schedule 4 exams/midterms within a week. Who needs sleep anyways???? Nov/11/01 May we all remember those that have lost their lives for us... Dec/10/04 I am dead...this site no longer reflects what I've become...who I am no longer. Expect great changes. My interests all gone...down the drain...the core of my very existence shrivelled up...withered away to insignificance. |
