Sektion 31-Tournament
Decipher Swiss System
Starting fee for all Sektion 31-Tournaments this year is ATS 100,-
Prizes are boosters from current expansions.
It was a surprise for
everyone of us participating in the first Sektion 31-Tournament of
the year 2001 to be called by Chowron and informed about the tournament taking
place at the other end at the town and not at our good old Südpark.
But no matter where they would finally play, eight people confirmed Chowron's
invitation to participate in the tournament. So what a sad feeling did we
(Chowron, Gul Lucat, Lt. Benni and me, Dave of Borg) have, when we eventually
were just six (!) people to compete in the first of the four most important
tournaments of the year. At least Chancellor Tomash and our longtime "lost"
member Peter Lackner filled up our ranks a little bit. But still, though we
were just so few people, we had quite a funny day, and played some good matches.
There were some arguments, great victory celebrations, bad mistakes and much
more. In the end, it was our fellow pal Chowron who could declare himself
as the winner. But the special prize, a Taris FOIL from Star Trek: Reflections,
still went to Dave of Borg.
