Himura Kenshin

Abilities: Master of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu Kenshin is a young man who was hired at the age of 7 to become an assasin for a man name Katsura. At the age of 13 he had already killed many over 1,000. After killing his wife he moved on and took a vow to never kill again. As a wanderer he came across Kaoru who has shown him the love and attention he needs.
Kauru Kamiya
Age: 17
Birthplace: Edo (Tokyo)

Employment: Assistant Manager of the Kamiya Dojo
Weapon of choice: Bokken (Wooden Sword)
Kaoru is young woman who lives in Tokyo very peacefully. She trains young people to become swordman or swordswoman. She takes great pride in her job and is talented with a sword herself. She came across Kenshin one day in town and offered him food and shelter which he greatfully accepted.
Sagara Sanosuke
Age: 20
Birthplace: Naganoken
Birthday: February, 1860

Employment: Fighter for hire
Weapon of choice: Zanbatou
Sanosuke was one day passing through town. He came across Kenshin and challenged him to a fight, Kenshin rejected. Sano got over it but still had a want to fight this man. An enemy of Kenshins came to Sano after seeing him fight and asked him to kill Kenshin for it was because of Kenshin he could no longer hold a sword. Sano agreed being the fighter for hire he is. He came to the Dojo and got Kenshin to fight, but then Kaoru and the kids came out and Kenshin said 'I don't like to fight with women and children'. Sano agreed and backed off until later when they he again challenged Kenshin. Kenshin having no other choice fought and won. Sano was dumbstruck but he soon became friends with the gang and now lives happily with them being his friends.
Yahiko Myojin
Age: 10

Employment: Used to be theif; now in samurai training
Weapon of Choice: Shinai
Yahiko grew up in his fathers debt. He was in a 'gang' where he had to steal money to make up for something his father owed before he died. Kenshin and Kaoru met up with him while he was pickpocketing, they followed and found what captivity he was being kept under. Kaoru was determined to get him out and at first it seemed Kenshin could care less. But once Kaoru got inside and got into abit of trouble, Kenshin helped out and after slamming a mans head up into the ceiling, they got the child and took him back to the Dojo. There Yahiko learns to become the great samurai his father was and wants to avenge him once he's strong enough. His worst pet peeve is when someone calls him 'little'.
Megume Takani

Megume came running in on Kenshin, Sano, and a few of Sano's friends as they were gambling. She looked frantic and out of breath. She saw Kenshin had a sword and lept at him pleading for his help. A few men came in after her and Kenshin and Sano fought them off. Megume came back with Kenshin and Sano to the Dojo where Kenshin promised to help her from the men who were chasing her. She had made opium for a man named Takeda Kanryu and he wanted her back so that he could use it. Kenshin and the 'gang' saved her from that and now she lives with them as a second hand doctor for when they get hurt and such. Sano was not a big fan of hers at first because she was the one who made opium that killed one of his best friends, but he got over it.
