It began with Kagome, a young girl just living life as it came. Of course, that can never remain. She soon found herself falling into a well of the Shinto Shrine only to her to what seemed like a new world...or an old one. Here Humans and Demons shared the land...not on a happy note although. All, of course, have to want one thing: The Shikon No Tama. It just so happens that jewel lies in Kagomes hands. What did you expect? But the jewel becomes shattered and Kagome must retrieve the jewel fragments, before they end up in evil hands...She does this with InuYasha, a half-demon she awoke from eternal sleep.
