Club Profile
The United Karate Sports Centre is by far one of the oldest dojos in the United Arab Emirates. A young man from Kerala who came to Dubai to look for a job, and earn some extra money on the side by teaching Karate. Little did he know back then, that his plan of staying here for a couple of years will lead to what he has achieved today. Established in 1979, this year, the club celebrates its 30th Anniversary. Over the years, the United Karate Sports Centre has expanded to four dojos around the UAE, and has teaching contracts with schools and health clubs also.The Courses
The United Karate Sports Centre is one of the few dojos in the Middle East region that has earned a reputation for teaching traditional Okinawan martial arts. More recently, the Japanese art of Aikido has also been introduced. Three different martial arts are taught in the UKSC dojos:
The Instructors
The Senseis, or teachers, of the United Karate Sports Centre are all highly qualified in the martial arts. All of them are certified and authorized by the respective international associations of the arts they teach.
