The Lament Company
and
Planet Groove
The Lament Company is directed by Derrick Woods and regularly features the talents of Lindsey Williamson, Pamela Davis, Tiffany Smith, Chris Jeffords, Lizzy West, and Adam Waring. Lament Company shows also sometimes include The Seladora Dance Company performing under the direction of Ashley Bennett and also featuring the talent of Jenni Smith, Beth McCarthy, and Christen Maxwell. Dusty Moye offers very well done guitar music and singing to accompany the group. The Lament Company has performed recently in the upstairs room of Planet Groove, and also in the courtyard of Hot Toddy's Cafe and in the upstairs room of Hot Toddy's when weather precludes a courtyard performance. Derrick Woods and his talented group of performers have recently done a couple of short programs at Hot Toddy's, including some of the best songs, dancing and acting from their recent larger shows. To keep up with the Lament Company schedule, you may wish to consider calling Planet Groove or Hot Toddy's to see if any shows are planned. I have heard that a large show may be planned around Halloween, so watch for that.
