Indian summer

Today was one of those perfect fall days when, despite the crispness in the air and the pumpkins for sale, summer decides to declare its last hurrah. Sunny, warm and beautiful, the whole city was out in force to enjoy what will probably be one of the last nice days before winter sets in.

I headed over to Marché Jean-Talon for fresh fruits, veggies, cheese, meats, bread and other assorted goodies. Not knowing quite what to do with all the apples I bought, I decided to bake apple cake... except then I realized I don't own a cake pan anymore, so they turned out to be apple muffins. They still taste pretty good, if I may say so myself.
