A Short Ride Home
This is a first. This ride is the first non-roundtrip ride I've reported. Blazing new trails in jounalism is as exciting as any adventure I've taken. Wait while I catch my breath.

I was at my daughter's house and had completed most of what I do over there. The day was getting long and I had a whim to ride back home. I do stuff on whim a lot. I once went to pick up my family on a motorcycle. Whims have backfired. A short ride back to BB would be no big deal. It got longer than I had imagined. Now I have to go back to collect my wife and the two dogs and one grandchild if the whim is favorable. The keys to my car in the camper. I guess I'll have to go back if I want four wheeled travel again. Doesn't seem pressing right now. I have a full frig. I counted 60 diet cokes and a brand new bag of Community Club. But, stashes do disappear quickly as history recounts.
Leaving the corner of La.25 and La.40, I zoomed eastward in perfect riding conditions. I passed the Global Wildlife area and should have stopped to take pictures of the animals that can be seen from the road. I was in the wind and stopping was not important as I was not doing this ride on the site as doing rides has slipped on my priority list. Note: Global Wildlife is a must see. It is a great destination. I mean great. After GW, I turned north on La.445 towards Hesner, mentioned a while back in TWL in another E.La. article. North of Hesner, I saw the Buffalo and had to pull the camera out. If the camera comes out, a ride report is a must. I don't know why, but something drives me to show you?
Kids do a lot of pic picking on this site, so I guess that's one reason. I see a lot of school districts visiting. Ok, that's a buffalo, Click here for more info.
This is a Junkyard Buffalo. They are used because they don't bark. A treaspaser will only hear a snort and it will be too late. The little fella at the top of the page that you were wondering about is not in any danger. Bubba B is taking care of bidness.
