The shiny silver gold disk, with all of its power and magnificence confined
to one word, sun, sinks again among the hills. The sky ablaze with all of the
colors of emotion, slowly going dark. the end of yet another day, and the
beginning of new hope. Hope for tomorrow.
* * *
Complex beyond sight,
Maybe beyond mind,
Each beautiful and distinctive,
Each falls softly, slowly,
Through the air.
* * *
Elusive,
Longed for thing,
We seek it all our lives,
And so few find it,
But still we try.
And hope.
* * *
Hope,
Light in darkness.
The sun's power,
Pale in comparison.
* * *
Deep in thought I sit,
Unable or unwilling to sleep.
All the facts and opinions known,
But still the final choice eludes me.
And even then, will it be right?
Yet another new question...
* * *
One that understands the human heart,
Understands all that is important in this world...
And no one understands it all.
* * *
Hope lost,
Faith lost,
Trust lost,
Gone in a few words,
Destroyed by presumptuous acts,
Long in the regaining,
If even it can be done.
* * *
Painful diversion.
Loss of control.
New problems result,
But still I continue.

why in all this anger
do you fill me up with love,
love, love, love..." ~ DMB

Distance,
Time,
Neither can stop love.
Love always finds a way.
* * *
The dark shadow of Mordor,
Encroaches on the heart,
Only the flame of the west,
Of love,
May conquer it.

"Falling in love is exactly that - falling. You don't have much control
over it." ~ unknown

"I came to shed a little light
onto this darkening sea
instead I fear I've spilled
the blood of my children all around..." ~ DMB
* * *
Right, wrong,
Weak, strong,
Black, white,
Into the gray...
* * *
The way ahead is cloudy and dark,
And the road rocky and uneven,
But ahead I tread,
And along the way how many,
Times should I fall?
* * *
The well of hope dries up,
For the spring has moved,
And lost it is now,
And I journey along the aforementioned path,
In hopes of finding it once again...
* * *
Drained,
Mind, body, and soul.
Death of the heart.
Of a person.
* * *
The old is gone,
The new is here,
There is no going back,
What does the future hold?
* * *
The winds of change are blowing,
Gaining strength.
Can I survive?
Should I even try?
* * *
The waves of despair,
Crash hard on the shores of hope,
Washing away the foundations of life.
A storm is brewing...
* * *
Sparkle of life,
Gone.
The eyes that used to hold them,
Dark and dull, they now are...
* * *
A lone tear,
Meaning profound,
No others join it,
Spent stupidly before,
When needed,
They do not come.
* * *
Sigh,
The rejuvenation brought by it gone,
Stolen from me,
Sigh,
It is still missing....
* * *
Problems down sized,
Former friends,
No one understands,
I walk alone...
* * *
In the dark moments,
Of our mind,
Where no one can hear us scream,
Alone....
* * *
A hug from a friend,
False comfort,
Yearning still unsatisfied,
It grows.
* * *
Helpful and caring,
Outgoing and friendly,
Life slowly wasted.
For all I care,
No one cares in return?
* * *
How do you feel?
How can I help?
Tireless,
Thankless task.
* * *
Comfort and support from friends,
Meaningless and superficial,
Real caring absent.
Who really does care?
* * *
When the fire smolders,
It may still burn the hottest,
Ready to burst back into flames.
* * *
Future past,
Mistakes then,
What prevents them again?
Learning from it...
* * *
Self or others,
Conflicting,
Self doubt,
Causes hesitation,
Which causes loss...
* * *
Endless meanings,
One for me,
One for you,
And then many more for ourselves,
Love...
* * *
Old wounds healed,
Dirt still inside.
What to do?
Painfully reopen?
Or live with the marks?
* * *
Love's chance again,
Will it work?
All we can do is our best.
May we hope it is enough.
* * *
True love,
Meant to be,
Long awaited,
And abated,
Does now it come?
* * *
Time,
What meaning does it have?
The ticking of a clock,
Love ignores it,
But can the person?
* * *
Hidden secrets,
The eyes hold them,
The reading of which is complex,
And do we really want to know?
* * *
Forget the past?
The pain?
No.
For in it there is joy,
From The love that once was.
* * *
The way she talks,
How she walks,
All that she is,
Remembered always.
Not in my mind,
But my heart.
* * *
The storm,
Once calm,
Rages again,
For it was but the eye.
* * *
Holding it tightly,
Trying to keep it with me always,
My love,
For now it is but a picture in my mind,
But I wish for the day,
When I hold her in my arms,
As the sun lights up the sky,
A new day with her.
* * *
Last moment choices,
A life is to live,
Not waste,
So now onward I must go...
Where will I end up?
* * *
Onward moving,
Gazing back as I slowly depart,
Wishing still,
Realizing I must look forward,
Slowly turning.
* * *
"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end" ~ Semi

* * *
The feel of her hair as I run my hand through it,
The soft curves of her face,
The hidden depths of her eyes,
The warmth of her body as I held her close to me,
Forget them and deny my past?
Remember and feel the pain?
We are what we are as a result,
If we forget,
we forget ourselves.
* * *
Laying back,
Looking up,
Multitudes of colors,
Slowly fall,
Living our lives,
As we fall,
Spinning and floating,
Trying to stay aloft,
As we fall.
