As I sit here and watch the hands on my watch slowly tick away the moments, I
wonder,
Wonder where my life is going,
What will be next?
What the next few seconds hold,
What the next few years hold,
Is it not one in the same in essence?
I know not what will happen in either,
They both hold endless possibilities,
They both hold the possibility for joy,
For sorrow,
For love,
For anguish,
For living,
For dieing,
They are just moments,
Ticking away,
As the hand on my watch slowly spins,
Ticking away,
The gears slowly turning,
Tick,
Tick,
What is next?
Tick,
Where will my next choice lead?
Tick,
When will the time run out?
Tick,
How long will I have?
Tick,
Will I get to spend this time with the one I love?
Tick,
Or will the next moment take them from me,
Tick,
Or me from them,
Tick,
And what will happen when I decide not to rewind this watch?
Tick.
Tick.
Tick.
Tick.
Tic….
