| Ian Broudie appeared on Ken Bruce's Radio 2 Popmaster Quiz Show on Monday. In it, he confirmed that he is writing and recording, and that a release is 'definitely' going to happen next year. Woohoo! You can download the full Popmaster section of the show further down the page. | |

Bruce:
Ian has made the terrible admission that he has nothing in particular to
plug at the moment. Broudie: Nothing to plug, sorry. Bruce: But you're working very hard in the music business. You're producing a lot aren't you? Broudie: Yeah, this and that, writing some songs and all that stuff, pretty busy. Bruce: I mean, the Lightning Seeds era was fantastic, so many great songs. Broudie: Thanks very much. Bruce: Are we going to hear more, is that going to happen? Broudie: Yeah, I'm writing and recording at the moment, so I think I'll have an album out next year or something. Well definitely next year. |

| Not much happening on the Lightning Seeds front right now. After the Summer tours of 2006, Broudie is back in the studio with his other projects and taking a break from the Seeds. Here's hoping for some more Seeds/Broudie material some time in the future. | |

A nice treat for you all...
an mp3 of the Seeds in the Radio 1 Live lounge, circa 1999. I personally
recorded this and I finally got a piece of equipment to get it on my
hard drive.
I haven't found anyone
else who had this up until now, so this is a pretty rare recording, to
my knowledge. Enjoy! |
