Her full birth name (Joia de la Coeur) means "Joy of the Heart".

Though she was born and raised in France, Joia has only a mild French accent. This is due to the fact that her mother was British, and Joia had little to no contact with anyone save her parents.

She is fluent in both French and English.

Her best friend growing up was a wolf named Luna. She met the wolf as a cub, and it remained her friend growing up.

Disliked wearing shoes. And socks. Prefers to go barefoot is she can get away with it.

Can play the piano quite well, but doesn't like to.

Her favorite colors are yellow and orange.

Doesn't like to wear dresses or skirts, and yet still manages to remain feminine.

Although she sometimes has difficulty relating to people (due to her not having friends growing up) and the fact that she is often scrared of strangers, Joia actually likes people a lot.

Her favorite books are fairy tales.

Does not like to talk about the events surrounding her change into a Tempest, and will often ignore all questions on the subject.

Stutters when she gets nervous. Fidgets a lot.
