History:Joia was raised in a small French village, the only child to two loving parents. She lived a sheltered life, being home-schooled, and spending most of her time with her parents, and the many animals that lived around them. She was a happy child, a dreamer, often off in her own world, and loved her parents dearly. But like any child, they sometimes quarrelled. One evening a year ago, in her 20th year of life, Joia and her parents argued, and upset, Joia left her house, running into the woods for solace. But she did not find solace in the woods. Instead, she was accosted by two men, escaped criminals, who attacked her, wounded her, and tried to kill her. But a noise in the woods cared the men, and they ran, leaving Joia for dead, bleeding on the forest floor. The sounds had been from a man, who had heard her screams, and had come to investigate. That man turned out to be Aven Tempest, and he told Joia he could save her life. Her her blur of blood loss, she agreed to what he was saying, and on that night she was changed into a Tempest. Since then, she has spent the last year accustomizing herself to the Tempest way of life, learning of her new-found powers and her Sect.
Appearance: Joia is a small and slender girl, with a waifish body and next to no curves, which makes her appear much younger thasn she is. She seems fragile and delicate, and this is only added to by her pale skin and haunted expression. Her eyes are large, and oddly colored gold, framed by a thick fringe of strangley dark lashes. Her hair is pale gold, with dark and light highlights, making it look very sunkissed. It falls to the small of her back, and often hangs froward to viel her heart shaped face. Though she often seems haunted and sad upon first glance, she often breaks into wide sweet smiles around those she knows and trusts.
Personality: Like her name, Joia was a joyous and sweet girl, very open and friendly. However, since her attack, and subsequent changing into a Tempest, she had closed up a bit, and seems a little sader, a little more lost. She is a free-spirit, and a complete daydreamer, and often seems off in her own world, or off in the clouds somewhere. She is often naive, given her young age, and is sometimes fearful, but generally is an all around sweet girl.
Talents: Given her young age (both in years lived, and time as a Tempest), Joia's powers are fairly limited, as she is still working on them and honing her skills. However, she works very well with the element of Earth, and is particularly proficient with plants of all types, both in using them in spells, as well as causing them to grow. She is working to expand on her talents, particularly those taught by her Sect.
