Throughout the recording sessions, drinks flowed freely, and the band was always well juiced. So well juiced, in fact, that Bradley was sent home from the Austin studios early, and told to clean himself up. So after the vocal tracks were finished, Bradley returned to Long Beach, where he kicked heroin one last time. The only difference was that this time, it was for himself.
While he was clean, Bradley married long time girlfriend Troy Dendekker, with whom he had already fathered a son, Jakob James Nowell. This was, according to several of Bradley�s friends, the happiest they had seen him in years.
Unfortunately, it wouldn�t last: One week later, Bradley James Nowell would be dead of a heroin overdose.
