The Long Beach Dub All Stars -- the band formed by surviving Sublime principals Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson -- will release their debut album Sept. 21 on DreamWorks. Titled "Right Back," the set is Gaugh and Wilson's first recorded material since the demise of Sublime. The album features guest appearances by reggae luminaries Barrington Levy (on a new version of "Saw Red"), Half-Pint ("Pass It On"), and Tippa Irie ("Sensi"), as well as Pennywise's Fletcher ("My Own Life") and former Bad Brains member HR ("New Sun"). It was produced by the band's drummer/percussionist/DJ "Field" Marshall Goodman and Miguel, the latter of whom is co-founder of Skunk Records, the indie label that was Sublime's first home. "Trailer Ras," the first radio track from the set, will bow in August. The Dub All Stars will tour the U.S. behind the album this fall, staying on the road through the end of the year. |
