United States Navy builds a top-secret R&D base, codenamed "Neptune" on the Baja California.
Amongst the base personnel is Lt.Cmdr Chris Warren, grandfather of future Excalibur captain Michael.

2005
NATO and the EU are broken up, as confederation treaties tear apart existing bodies.

2006
Indian forces invade Kashmir, resulting in war between India and Pakistan.

As the confederations take sides in the conflict, the United Nations is dissolved. Anarchy at sea as all UN International Laws are set aside.

World War Three breaks out.

Contact is lost with the US Navy base "Neptune", after base personnel evacuate. The Neptune DSV under construction there is lost to suspected sabotage.

2007
In order to maintain any future peace, the NORPAC confederation commissions the building of seaQuest Deep Submergence Vehicle (now commonly called DSV).

Treaty of Reykjavik signed, ending WWIII, although tensions between the confederations lead to a border dispute in the Arctic in the same year.

The New Australia confederation elects Alexander Bourne as their new president.

Several confederations break ties with the UEO.

Alexander Bourne carries out a military coup and seizes complete control of the New Australia Confederation.

seaQuest DSV reappears in a cornfield in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, its crew scattered around the globe.

Capt. Oliver Hudson takes command of seaQuest DSV following Capt. Bridger's retirement.

A new UEO Charter is ratified, despite the best efforts of Macronesia and Deon International.

Michael Warren graduates from the Academy, two years early, after his professors and lecturers recognised his innate ability and high intelligence.
He is assigned to seaQuest DSV, under Capt. Oliver Hudson, as a Lieutenant.

Sec.Gen. McGath elected for a fifth term.

UEO seaHawk DSV commissioned. John Scaros, twin brother of Excalibur lieutenant Josh, is killed on the boat's initial cruise after a Macronesian sabotage attempt.

2035
UEO begins work on the successors to the seaQuest class of DSV.

Warren, now a Lt.Cmdr, along with Lt.Cmdr Lucas Wolenczak, Nathan Bridger, and Alex Grayson (of Grayson Enterprises), designs the new seaWolf class DSV, with modifications prepared for the new Advanced Submergence Vessel (ASV).

2036
UEO Headquarters is relocated back to Pearl Harbour, against the wishes of several top-ranking officials.

Deep Fire dock is built beneath Pearl Harbour Bay. Construction begins on UEO seaWolf ASV at Pearl Point, and UEO seaFire SCV (Submersible Combat Vessel) at Deep Fire.

Two seaWolf-class vessels, ASVs 7700 and 7800, provisionally designated "Revere" and "Columbia" are scrapped after final committee discussions.

The six ships of the Capricorn class are lost in sea trials. The class was the most heavily-armed in terms of size ever, and designated ASBs (Advanced Submersible Battleships)

2037
Macronesia absorbs the Pan-Asian confederation. Bourne now effectively controls the Pacific and Indian Oceans.

UEO Atlantic Command at New Cape Quest is destroyed by a sneak Macronesian attack.

Fearing imminent war, UEO asks retired seaQuest captain Nathan Bridger to return in an advisory role, with simulated rank of Rear Admiral.

2038
seaWolf ASV is launched. On her first cruise, she disappears with all hands. Her wreck is never recovered, although telemetry indicates sabotage. Construction continues unabated on the rest of the seaWolf class.

seaQuest DSV is captured by Macronesian forces in the Pacific. Capt. Hudson is killed in her escape. Jonathan Ford assumes command upon the sub's return to Pearl.

As the seaFire prototypes near completion, member infighting and budgetary concerns force UEO Command to scrap two of the class, and four further seaWolf-class subs, including the planned first of the new Advanced Submergence Vessels (ASV), ASV 7000, designated "Manhattan".

2039
DSV 6800, seaWolf-class UEO Gilligan, goes missing in the South Pacific. All hands are believed lost on her initial three-hour tour.

UEO Excalibur ASV 7100 commissioned at Pearl Harbour on October 21st.

Captain Michael Warren takes command, despite disagreement by several high-ranking UEO officials.

On her maiden cruise, the sub is sabotaged, and, following a tense standoff with a Macronesian cruiser, escapes to Pearl with minimal damage. ("Arrivals")

Excalibur ASV begins a three-month shakedown cruise on November 1st.

UEO Excalibur returns from her shakedown cruise. All systems function normally. (February)

Most of UEOFLT heads for the Atlantic for the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic. UEOPACFLT in particular is severely depleted.(March)

seaQuest DSV arrives in Pearl Harbour for a month-long refit. (mid-March)

Macronesian forces assemble in the western Pacific, in preparation for an assault on UEO Headquarters. (April 1st-7th)
