BUSY DAY
Sailor here.

I went to the groomer's on Friday and spent the day being
fussed over and given treats.  The grooming humans LOVED me!  The other dogs
were jealous of my good looks, and I came home fluffy and soft.  I smell
funny, but Mom says that will wear off.

Yesterday was quite a day, too.  Mom took me to the vet to have an ear
infection treated.  I didn't know I had an ear infection; nothing bothered
me.  So how did Mom know?  She's putting this stuff in my ears that tickles.
But the day got better.

After treats at the vet's office, we got in the car and drove somewhere I
have never been.  Mom says she knows the way because she went there last week
without me, so I didn't have to back seat drive and could lie down instead.
We went to Obedience Class!!  Wowsers, what a zoo.  Dogs, puppies, more dogs,
treats, treats, and more treats.  I loved it!  Until a little Westie nipped
me in the heel, that is.  Threw me off my stride for a few minutes.

I was the best.  And the handsomest.  Everyone came up to Mom and said what a
beautiful collie I was.  I posed.  I wagged.  I ate it up.  Then we got to
heel and to sit and heel and sit.  We heeled back the other way.  We started
to learn Come.  All of this I already knew, so I was the best.  And I got
treats anyway!  Mom brought nuked hot dog slices, boy oh boy, those were my
favorites.  I don't think I will accept cat food kibble again.  Mom is
getting quite obedient about giving treats when I sit and heel, so I think
this class is working already.

I fell asleep on the way home in the car with my head on the console.  Mom
says for the rest of the afternoon, I was a rug.  I don't really remember the
rest of the afternoon...but I do know that I probably made a gorgeous rug!
