ENLIGHTENED PERSPECTIVE
Read all the way to the bottom!

If you will take the time to read these, I promise you'll come
away with an enlightened perspective.

The subjects covered affect us all on a daily basis!
I've learned....
That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.
I've learned....
That being kind is more important than being right.
I've learned....
That I can always pray for someone when I don't have
the strength to help him in some other way.
I've learned....
That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end,
the faster it goes.
I've learned....
That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.
I've learned....
That the Lord didn't do it all in one day.. What makes me think I can?
I've learned....
That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.
I've learned....
That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to
surround myself with people smarter than I am.
I've learned....
That I wish I could have told my Mom & Dad that I loved them
one more time before they passed away.
I've learned....
That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness
and growth occurs while you're climbing it.
I've learned-
that you should always leave loved ones
with loving words. It may be the last
time you see them
I've learned-
that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a
secret. It could change your life forever.
I've learned-
that two people can look at the exact
same thing and see something totally different.
I've learned-
that the people you care about most in life
are taken from you too soon.
what have you learned?........keep learning ...

HOW DO YOU LIVE YOUR DASH?
I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone from the
  beginning...to the end.
He noted that first came her date of birth
And spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.   (1934 -1998)

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth...
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own;
The cars...the house...the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard...
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left, That can still
be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
To consider what's true and real,
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger,
 And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we've never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect,
And more often wear a smile...
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy's being read
With your life's actions to rehash...
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?
