Director, The Manticore director failed to properly cauterize the site because the transgenics somehow escaped from their cells and made it past the perimeter. The class known as the X7s began hunting down transgenics in the area. They managed to get hold of a creature that appeared to have been created for desert operations. It was only then it came to our attention that Manticore had created monstrosities such as this for selected operations. A laser was set up to broadcast the Manticore signal to regroup. Once small groups of transgenics arrived at the specified location, they were executed on the spot. One morning a group of transgenics arrived but their execution was interrupted by a transgenic, later identified as X5-452. An X7 with her and the small band of soldiers contacted other X7s revealing their location. 452 was apprehended, but managed to escape. Before doing so she managed to change the sign to one telling other escapees to scatter and go to ground and then destroyed the laser. After this incidence, we kept a low profile and attempted to deal with the situation quickly before the public became aware of transgenics' existence. We are currently stationed within Seattle, Washington, and are making progress, though slow, in taking rouge transgenics and transhumans into custody. We have recently run into jurisdiction issues with both the CDC and local authorities and it is becoming harder to keep project Manticore and its creations under wraps.
