Scrip, in the form of gift certificates from local and national merchants, is used just like cash in their stores. When you buy these certificates in advance of your shopping, our organization earns a percentage of your purchase. Just think, money you intend to spend anyway is generating financial support for our organization's programs without costing you a penny more. Two to 25 percent of your purchase is contributed to our organization by these local and national merchants. Support from your family alone can generate this cash flow for us every time you grocery shop, go to the drugstore, put gas in your car, or go out to dinner, not to mention the benefits if you get your neighbor or family member to do the same. This profit becomes an automatic source of revenue day after day, month after month without costing you a penny more than you are already spending. We believe this program can benefit our organization in a way no other fundraiser ever could, but it requires your participation. The volunteer coordinators of this fundraiser, like any others, do not donate their valuable time for the lack of something to do. They do it because they are committed and they care.
