In the beginning...
The Sean Donner story all started back when I was little. My Grandma would have me sing her a song, usuallly something like 'take me out to the ball game'.So I'd sing her a song and when I got done she gave me a quarter. That's when I realized that I could make quite a bit of money off of this singing thing. Well in the summer/fall of 1999 I started writing lyrics as a way to express my feelings. I found it a lot easier to tell paper how I felt than to tell a person. So I started finding that I could write halfway decent songs.
Kaptian Kommunist...
About halfway through tenth grade some friends of mine asked me if I wanted to sing for their band. It was a very punk rock band known to few as Kaptian Kommunist. The high school Talent Show was like two weeks away and they really needed a singer. So I joined the band. I quickly realized that I wanted to get out of the band or slightly change it's style. Through out controvercies and just not sounding very good I left the band in the middle of the summer of 2000.
The Boybands...
During and after my days in Kaptian Kommunist I had this burning desire to start a boyband. Through those times I have had a grand total of three different boybands. The first started sometime in tenth grade. I got together with some people at school. The reason we did this was because we all had different colors of boots. they were Red, Green, Blue, and Mustard. Two of these people never took any interest in the band. So it quickly fell by the way side after just one song. Then came 'Teen Steam'. This band was a threesome. It showed more potential than the first. The members first got together at a school dance when we did a dance for everyone there to 'Nsync's "It's Gonna Be Me". We broke up afterone member went off to college. The last boyband was purely made up for a assingment in an art class. The bands name was 'Hometown'. The band never had any songs and never really did more than just one photo shoot needed for the assignment.
Going solo...
After the fall of 'Teen Steam' I realized that if I wanted to do something I would have to go solo. I got all the songs I'd ever written and sat down with them. I went through them one by one until I narrowed it down to twelve songs. The cd was called 'Rubbing Elbows'. A friend of mine was going to help me record this cd so I could establish myself. This cd fell through because of conflicting schedules. I then broke it down to an EP called 'Clear Lake Drive'. This EP was changed to 'For All It's Worth' which was to be an EP too. In this time I had written some new songs. I wanted these to be on a cd too so I made a second EP called 'Why Don't You Love Me Moore?'. These two EP's were shortly after put together. Many of the songs were thrown out and replaced with newer songs which I liked more. 'For All It's Worth' was then born to what we know it as today.
