SEA MAR Community Health Centers is a community-based organization committed to providing comprehensive health and human services to the underserved and uninsured communities of western Washington with a special emphasis on the Latino population and migrant farm workers. It was organized in 1978 by a group of Latino health activists from the U. of Washington. SEA MAR is committed to education, health promotion and disease prevention as priority services.

HealthCorps members may choose amongst a variety of departments and programs for their term of service (placement depends upon member interest and health center need). These are medical, dental, and mental health clinics, nutritional programs for women, infants, and children (WIC), maternity support services (MSS), health education surrounding diabetes and HIV/AIDS, social work and case management, home health and home care primarily for the elderly, the Latino Senior Information and Assistance program, and job placement program. We also have a bilingual Child Development Center and 86-resident Nursing Home with Alzheimer unit where members may serve. Branch clinics outside Seattle serve migrant farm workers and the homeless, while three Residential Treatment Centers serve youth and adolescents with substance abuse issues.
