| Family: Lethrinidae Scientific name: Lethrinus lentjan (Lacepede) Local name: Landok Distribution: Coastal waters to about 50m depth Size commonly caught: 25-30cm total length Notes: Fish is olive/green coloured above and paler below. Has a bright red spot on posterior of gill cover and often another on the base of the pectoral fin. Flesh tastes good. Sold fresh. |
