| Family: Lutjanidae Scientific name: Caesio xanthonotus (Bleeker) Local name: Delah, Pisang-pisang, Pisang ekor kuning Distribution: Shallow coastal waters to about 40m depth Size commonly caught: 15-25cm total length Notes: A common fish around coral reefs. Caudal fin yellow with pink margin. Dorsal fin and back yellow while the anal and paired fins are pinkish. Has a broad blue band along its sides running from the head and tapering towards the caudal peduncle. |
