The Tides of change pay per view kicked off with an interview segment, the subject of which was St.LCW commissioner Winnie Nobbe. After welcoming everyone to his first pay per view in charge, Winnie started the night with a bang as he announced that Apocalypse Al Smith was fired. Following on from this, Nobbe commented on the error that he made on the previous weeks camera show, the commissioner claimed that the reason he forgot the name of Mimmickmaster on the last show was because Mimmick is not very important.

With the preliminaries well and truly dealt with, Winnie then went onto the issue that was at the top of his agenda. The issue, of course, was his recent problems with Sam Van Dam. During the weeks leading up to Tides of change, Nobbe had continually claimed that he had a surprise in store for Sam at the upcoming special event. With The Mouth of the south being a man of his word, Winnie called out Van Dam to face his surprise, and, on that note, the entrance music of the youngster kicked in and out came Sam, much to the delight of his adoring public.

As an apprehensive looking Van Dam stood in the isle way, Nobbe, while stationed in the ring, informed the innocent young boy that he had been looking into the details of Sams contract. The Kingpin of St.Lukes then claimed that although Van Dam was not contracted as a full time wrestler, his contract did state that he could wrestle in select matches. Hence, Winnie informed the plucky kid that he had booked him in a match against Deacon Sypher, and, furthermore, the match would take place right there and then.

On that bombshell, the Deacon, accompanied by Cardinal Yeomans, made his way to the ring. As Nobbe and the Cardinal looked on from ringside, their man took the early advantage in the match. After easily pushing over Sam, Sypher began to really hammer home his advantage by nailing Van Dam with a DDT. In what can only be described as a dastardly tactic, the C.R.A.P member then threw his smaller opponent to the outside, thus allowing Winston and Yeomans to get in some cheap shots on Sam while the Deacon distracted the referee.

Nevertheless, once Van Dam was hurled back into the ring, he did manage to mount some offence of his own. The pre-teen battled against all odds as he punched and kicked Sypher into a state of weakness. Sam then went onto capitalise on the Christian's weakened state as he landed a Fame-Asser that the fans went crazy for. However, Van Dams spurt of offence was soon cut short by the sneaky Deacon as he resorted to poking the little guy in the eyes. Noticing that Sam was temporarily blinded by this illegal move, Sypher seized the opportunity to land a devastating X-Factor on the partially blinded Van Dam.

This spelt the end of Sams gutsy display, as the Righteous one picked up the three count and, as a direct consequence, the victory. Winnie, however, was not finished with Sam as he wanted him to suffer even more brutality. Therefore, Nobbe ordered the spiritual leader of C.R.A.P to inflict more punishment on the already stricken Van Dam. The Cardinal duly by hitting S.V.D in the forehead, with closed fists, several times. Realising that his very life was on the line, Sam fought back and even made his way to the top, from where he took a jump at the heavyweight. Nonetheless, Winnie was able to catch Van Dam and deliver his deadly spinebuster to the beaten down kid. The message was thus sent loud and clear: Do not mess with a Nobbe in power.

The second segment of Tides of change was scheduled to be an exhibition match, which was to be prompted by Hayden Williams. Upon Haydens entrance to the ring he initially began by speaking about Jurgen Frobe. Williams claimed that Jurgen had not been pulling his weight in the New Breed of late. So, he had tied Frobe up in the back and sat him next to a monitor so that the Munich native could watch the upcoming exhibition match and see what it takes to be in the New Breed.

Additionally, the leader of the New Breed stated that if Jurgen did not win the European title later that night then he would be kicked out of the elite group. On that note, Hayden called out Iron Mike Wiseman to take part in the exhibition match with him. Because this contest was not supposed to be a serious match, but rather a demonstration of wrestling to the incapacitated Frobe, Williams and Iron Mike began with simple, and gentle, lockups and armbars. However, after the dwarf porn fan had reached the ropes and demanded a clean break from Wisemans arm lock, the match suddenly turned serious.

Out of nowhere, the New Breed member suplexed Hayden and continued his assault by landing some punches on the disgruntled Williams. At this point, the milky bar kid look-a-like began to beg off from his opponent as he realised that this supposed exhibition match had turned into a full-blooded fist fight. Haydens distress became blatantly obvious when he was heard to shriek its only meant to be an exhibition match while Iron Mike was serving him up some knuckle sandwichs. Knowing that he had to mount some offence of his own merely in order to survive, Williams started to dish out some right hands of his own.

Nevertheless, it didnt take Wiseman long to regain the ascendancy, as he levelled the white haired one with a closeline. The man from the outback then exchanged chops with Hayden in the corner (removing Williams top in the process and thus landing some reverse knife edges on the bare skin of the albino). The exhibition match had, by this time, degenerated into a brawl as both participants took the battle to the outside. During this period of the match, Hayden was flung, breadbasket first, into an ominous looking set of black chairs which often loiter in the background of St.LCW matches.

When the action eventually returned to the confines of the ring, Williams used a big boot to get back into the game, he then followed this with a double leg drop to the stomach of Iron Mike. Unable to keep Wiseman down for a sustained period of time, the kid who is too bad for school delivered a low blow to his unsuspecting opponent. Hayden then followed this well placed kick with a lionsault, but still the Australian kept getting to his feet. However, while Iron Mike was complaining to the referee about the kick to the testicles that he had previously received, Williams seized the advantage by rolling Wiseman up from behind.

This school boy manoeuvre led to the fan of illicit material picking up the three count, after the match was over however, a defeated Aussie did shake hands with a triumphant Hayden. Then, as both men made their way back to the locker rooms, Williams was heard telling Iron Mike that although he was not as good as himself, he was at least better than the New Breed member who was tied up in the back. And, to the fan of small persons pornography, that was all that mattered.Next up for this pay per view extravaganza was a number one contendership match for the World title, this contest would be between Sinner and Father Johnson. The first man to make his way out for this highly anticipated match was Sinner, he was then closely followed by the Father who, just like Deacon Sypher had been earlier, was accompanied to the ring by Cardinal Yeomans. Both men took the opportunity to feel each other out in the early stages of this one, and, after some intense moments of grappling, Johnson managed to catch the non-believer with a superb armdrag.

Nevertheless, it takes more than an armdrag to keep Sinner down, so it came as no surprise when the popular performer was able to battle back into the match using a reverse atomic drop. Then, in an attempt to really take control of this number one contendership match, Sinner went for a suplex on the C.R.A.P member, but the Father still had his wits about him and was thus able to block the happy ones intended manoeuvre and deliver a suplex of his own. This great move allowed Johnson to dominate the portion of the match that followed. Not only did the Daddy land a leg drop and a side headlock take down, but he also nailed the prone body of Sinner with a rolling neck breaker, which, in turn, led to a pinning combination. After escaping the Fathers pin, the former blobby fan showed some impressive resilience by mounting some offence of his own. Firstly, Sinner demonstrated his power by scooping up Johnson and inflicting not one, but two back breakers on him. Secondly, the dancer whacked the Christian straight in the face with a few unforgiving punches and then finally, Sinner dropped the Father directly on his head with a ruthless DDT. Amazingly however, Johnson still had life left in him, so much so that he was even able to relieve the pressure on himself by scoop slamming his opponent.

The rest bite for the Righteous one was short lived however, as Sinner soon came straight back at the Father by almost decapitating him with a flying closeline. Some quick thinking from Johnson then almost allowed him to steel a pinfall victory, as he took it upon himself to sneak in a backslide which drew a two and a half count from the referee. Taken aback by this clever move, the Sinning one left himself open to attack, and the man who likes to pray was not going to miss the opening. The Father chucked Sinner to the outside where he was assault by the Cardinal, Yeomans really laid into the ex-crusierweight, delivering knees and punches to the down trodden Sinner.
