St. LCW Volume 12: 2nd Taping Results
Seeing the pain on the face of Sinner ref Chris realised his mistake and began to reprimand Sid for his actions. This only made matters worse for the rookie as it gave ex long time dork Angel the opportunity to land her trade mark move the Halo on the colourful one.
A series of trademark kicks and punches followed from Sid and he looked dominant until, in true �Rock� fashion, Sinner blocked one of the said punches and came back with a few punches himself. This rocked Sid and gave Sinner the chance to deliver his trademark Rock Bottom. Unfortunately for him however, ref Chris was caught in the eye by a stray shoelace and was temporarily blinded. He fell to the floor in pain leaving Sinner without an official to secure his victory.
Seeing ref Chris on the floor, the Blobby fan went to his aid. This gave Angel the chance to slip Sid the infamous steel chain from round her waist, which he proceeded to wrap around his fist. An unsuspecting Sinner walked straight into the knock out blow. The still temporarily blinded ref Chris did not see the chain, but did recover enough to count three and seal a tainted victory for Sid.
The penultimate segment of the night was scheduled to be an interview with European champ Dave Daniels. He entered the ring, with title in tow, to a torrent of boos and hisses.
He began by mentioning the events that transpired the week before namely the victory of Jason Sensation over former Intercontinental champion Hardcore Michael York, which Daniels himself had a hand in deciding. He praised the youngster for his recent attitude adjustment, following Jason�s change of heart towards his adoring fans. DD made it clear that people who share the belief that only victory matters at whatever cost deserve glory and that attitude rather than cheating had secured the Golden ones title (the fans obviously disagreed).
He also made the point that he was an active champ and was not scared of any opponent, this escalated into an open invitation to any St.Lukes superstar to challenge him that night for his title.
On that the under dogs national anthem started to play and out came the returning Iron Man. Standing toe to toe with Daniels in the ring it looked like a man and boy match up as the Mo Fo towered over DD and accepted his open challenge.
Out came a referee and the bell rang as the giant swung a roundhouse, which was evaded by DD. A stiff kick to the back of Iron Man�s knee cut the Mo Fo down to size. A series of kicks followed to the meaty leg as Daniels took early control.
It appeared that Iron Man might have had a bull�s eye tattooed on his long legs as most of the European champs attack was based in this area. This particular onslaught would not last however, as big Shaun blocked a punch and proceeded to lay into his smaller opponent. Iron Man then made his size advantage show as a series of power moves were utilised to keep control of his adversary.
The Mo Fo threw DD into the pit of fans on the outside and disappeared briefly into the back. This was part of his strategy as he returned with two steel sheets and tried to leave a concussion in his wake. Satisfied that the damage inflicted was adequate he launched Daniels back in to the ring.
On trying to raise the champ he was took by surprise with a low blow followed by an Irish whip and a clothesline. The less worn down Iron Man did not fall and DD had to resort to a knee shot once more. After a few unforgiving punches to the head Iron Man was whipped again and this time the clothesline felled the big oak tree.
Perhaps feeling a bit arrogant after this event DD instead of going for a pin fall picked up the Iron Man and went for further punches. The Mo Fo was not out though and on blocking one of Daniels punches, grabbed him by the throat with both hands. The Iron Man then hoisted him into the air and came crashing down with a sit down choke slam. This spelt the end for Daniels and the beginning for Iron Man as the new European champ.
A victorious Iron Man stood over a beaten Daniels, title held high, this was the Mother F*%&ers champagne moment. |
