Tri Sigma's
History
On April 20th, 1898 eight women attending the State Normal School of Virginia, now Longwood University, came together to forge a bond of sisterhood that was destined to outlast not only it's founders, but but the century that saw it flourish. Each woman continued through their lives to nurture the bond that brought them together as girls and was allowed to watch it grow into a national sorority of women

Tri Sigma's founding was part of a unique time for the girls of the State Normal School, as three other sororities were also being founded. Along with Tri Sigma, Kappa Delta, Zeta Tau Alpha and Alpha Sigma Alpha are known as the Farmville Four.
