| Peter Tanis the son of Pieter Tanis b. 1831 was born in 1862. He was a contractor and built houses. He and his wife Elsie Swart raised 11 children and lived in Munster, IN. Peter loved music and formed a band with many family members. Pictured above is Peter Tanis born 1862 in the first row on the left. In the middle row are the Swart brothers one on each end. In the middle of the second row is Peter's son Peter born in 1885. In the back row two on the right are two more sons, Morris and William Tanis. |
