Editorial: Corporate Communications

A selection of branding, marketing, news reporting and executive wordsmithing. I've been told that I have a natural talent for this stuff... some people go to school for years and years and can't make words roll off the pages like I can. I'm not bragging... just telling you what I was told.

Culling keywords, tidbits and phrases from various branding collateral, I developed the copy for this ad.

About the VigilantVoice

When I joined Yokogawa, one of the tasks left to me by my predecessor was the compilation and editing of the internal / sales rep newsletter. It was satisfactory in design and content, but I knew it could be much better. So I started from scratch. I developed a magazine-style layout, updated the style sheets, and redesigned the cover (note the Newsweek border and the feature headlines).

Distributed via secure PDF, the newsletter has active hyperlinks throughout. Clicking on a feature headline on the cover brings you right to the article, as does clicking on a table of contents entry. Clicking on key places on every page will bring you back to the table of contents. Hyperlinks to external websites are also included.

Note: because the newsletter is edited for internal use and may contain sensitive information, I am unable to provide a complete copy online. A version marked up like the declassified government files on UFOs may be forthcoming, though...
