PRIMITIVE BEHAVIOR & BIOLOGY
There are many things which can be learned by observing animal behavior. The interactive study of animals in their natural environment can lead us to great enlightenment about our own moral behavior, social structures, and deviations from certain means. Animals in a labratory are not going to act the same as they would in their natural environment any more than you or I would under the same circumstances. When we or animals are used as a means to an ends, both of our lives are at stake. Animals are genetiic markers for mutations, pollution, and signs that Mother Earth is in need of healing.

Whether or not we wish to believe it, Mother Earth is full of passion, but is very sensitive and shows emotion through acts such as war, machines, tornados, tsunamis, earthquakes, the plauge, over-population, over-exploitation, nuclear fusion.

I have been studying animal behavior for around 15 years. Much of it is based on various Native American traditions and stories about our kindred spirits. Each animal totem has many characteristics, each very unique in arrangement, yet an essential part of the ecosystems balance. For more information on animal symbolism, I encourage you to read these books:
Dreaming With The Wheel, Sun Bear and Wabun, Dancing with the Wheel, Sun Bear & Wabun; Medicine Cards, Sans & Co.; Psyche and Symbol, Carl Jung; The Selfish Gene, Hawkins.
