She died 13 Dec. 1956 James died in Helensville on 3 Jan 1931, aged 6, burid in Helensville 1865 Richard Henwood VERCOE (Dick) was born, 6 June 1865 in Aukland. he died 8 June 1943 aged 75, in Helensville. 1867 Elizabeth Jane VERCOE (Cissy) was born May 13 1867, at Matakana, NZ She married Frderick Charles WALKER, 2 Oct 1890 in Helensville. 1869 Charles Edward VERCOE was born 12 June1869, in Helensville. d. 20 June 1951, in Mt Eden, Auckland, NZ 1871 Emma VERCOE was born 29 June 1871 on Kawau Island. Emma married William Rowley Entwistle in 1891. William died 20 March 1930, aged 66years, they are buried at Birkenhead/Glenfield Cemetery, Auckland, NZ Emma died 6 January 1941 aged 69, in Birkenhead, North Shore, Auckland. NZ 1874 Lily Mabel VERCOE was born 4 January 1874 on Kawau Island, Auckland, NZ Lily married Henry MacINTOSH 1900 in Gormanston, Tasmania, Australia. 1877 Helen 'Nellie' VERCOE born 20 January 1877 at Henderson's Mill, Auckland, NZ info Family Bible [MA] Helen married Andrew MONCUR, 1901and had 5 children, Winsome Dorothy, Allan Andrew, Lyndsay Richard, Jessie Helen, Raymond Thomas. Andrew Died 23.Jul 1922, and Helen died 7 Aug 1968 and they are buried in Purewa Cemetery, Moncur Family plot. 1879 John Henry VERCOE, born 26 May 1879 at Henderson's Mill, was christened on 1 June 1879 and died 3 June 1879. buried at the Whau, 3 June 1879, Henderson, Auckland. [MA - FAMILY BIBLE] 1880 John Snell Vercoe (Jack) 26 July 1880, was born at Henderson's Mill. He died 5 May 1956, in Helensville. 1883. Lucy May VERCOE was born on 05 Feb 1883 in Helensville, NZ. She died in 15 Jul 1972 in Cornwall Hospital, Epsom, AK, NZ. Lucy was cremated on 19 Jul 1972 in Purewa, AK, NZ. - reintered in Helensville Cemetery. Lucy married James Lochead BRADLY 1907 in NZ. James was born in 1884. He died in 1948 in Helensville, and is buried in Helensville, NZ. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1847 The family came to Auckland when Richard was 5 years old. 1862, March 8, Richard James VERCOE, of Matakana, married Emma Henwood, third daughter of Thomas Henwood, of Mangere, in the old Anglican Church, Otahuhu, Auckland, NZ, by Reverend Frank Gould. After their marrage Richard managed a farm property of Brown and Campbell (Sir John Logan Campbell) in Helensville. 1881 Richards father Bryant died aged 26 September at Henderson's Mill. New Zealnd 1881 - The family left Henderson and bought a farm on the Te Pua straight Helensville, NZ, and was well known for cheese making. He was a carpenter and one considerable job he did was build the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Helensville 1885 with the help of other members of the church. It was opened October 11, 1885 . . . .recorded in the book, "History of Methodism" by William Morely 1900. 1922 Richard died 29 January 1922, in Great North Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland 1928 Emma Vercoe died at the home of her daughter Emma in Marama Terrace, Birkenhead, Auckland. Buried with her husband Richard Waikumete Cemetery, Weslean, Block C, Section 22, Plot 52. |
