Southern Distributing is a division of New Day Window Cleaning Services. In 1998 Ettore Products Company of Oakland, California came to Lubbock, Texas with the first Aquaclean System to demonstrate its use. We did not hold out much hope for its application in the field of window cleaning based largely on past attempts to use a similar form of "water fed pole work". This system supplied a long pole that allowed water to travel up the pole and out the brush at the top but did not supply a pure water source. The amount of "TDS" ( total dissolved solids ) in our water source made this system to costly to use on a regular basis.

We chose two greenhouses located on the Texas Tech University campus as a demonstration location. These greenhouses had never been cleaned and measured 110ft long, 45 ft wide, 40ft high and had a 45 degree slant. It did not take long to see the results were spectacular and the slants could be accessed easily with the Aquaclean Carbon fiber poles. We cleaned both greenhouses in 2 days and billed $4,200.00. That worked out to over $130 per man hour.

We recognized that the Aquaclean System was the best thing to be introduced to the window cleaning industry since the squeegee and asked to become the first distributor. Today we are the largest distributor for Ettore in the United States for the Aquaclean System. Our day to day usage of two systems in New Day Window Cleaning Services gives us a unique perspective of this system's use, productivity, application, integration and troubleshooting.
