Sam Dunlap
Inspiring our children to reach

Sam Dunlap has been an inspiration and positive role model for children in Colorado Springs since 1968. Sam was born and raised in the Hillside neighborhood. He graduated from Colorado Springs High School and was an original member of the Brown Bombers baseball team. Sam has dedicated his life to educating, coaching, counseling, mentoring, loving and advocating for children, and has touched the lives of thousands of youth in the community. Mr. Dunlap retired from School District 11 in 2001.  His sons continue to support local youth through the Samida House, a group home for youth who need alternative placement. If you see Mr. Sam Dunlap during the tournament, make sure you say hello to this wonderful man.
