In addition, comparison of the spacing of features around hut
90 suggests a descrepency--
Unlike Feature 94 and 95 (with their spacing of 16 ft) the spacing
between Feature 90 and 92
is 20ft. In addition the lack of pit features between the two
structures suggests more open space
surrounding Feature 90 and its companion huts. As one moves downslope
and to the north of the
smaller hut of Feature 92, however, the spacing of depressions
and mounds is more reminiscent
of the tight spacing found in Area 1 (hut features 94 and 95).
Given the position of Feature 90 at the top of the ridge (along
with the differences already
noted in architectural form), this hut tends to stand out as
being different from the other three
huts sites excavated. This same difference is also noted when
one examines the material goods
