| Mission Statement |
| The mission of the Sculpted Word is to create a venue for the dissemination of contemporary works of poetry, fiction, drama, and new music. It accomplishes this through a weekly radio and Internet broadcast featuring dramatic readings of poetry alternated with new music compositions, and followed by an episode of radio drama. Exposing only the work of living artists, interweaving three separate mediums to foster audiences and encourage cross-pollination, we ambitiously seek to promote today's writers and musicians. The Sculpted Word familiarizes the listener with poetry, drama, and new music, cultivating an appetite for the arts while giving the distinct voices of contemporary artists a platform on which to speak, sing or scream. |
