Kelsey continues to work for the YMCA as a Lifeguard and, as of May 2006, has her instructor certification, as well.

She attended Nursing Camp at PCC again this summer. 

PSAT is in October.

Math: Algebra II using VideoText Algebra.

Honors Science: Kelsey is taking Biology II (Anatomy) with the Midlands Home School Resource Center.  Her instructor is Susan B. (Mitzi) Kennedy.  "Biology II is designed to be a very rigorous honors level course in which students will learn about anatomy and physiology as the explore each of the eleven systems of the human body.  Students will do a comparative study of the eye and the heart and will dissect a brain and a fetal pig.  Also, in addtion to quizzes, labs, and tests, each student will be required to do a research paper and a book report each semester.  This should be a fun as well as challenging course for students.  Participation in the MHSRC Science Fair is mandatory.  Prerequisites:  Biology 1, Chemistry 1, and Algebra I."

History/Social Studies: We will continue using Switched-on Schoolhouse for History/Geography class.  Unit Titles:  Foundations of the American Republic; Development of Constitutional Government; National Expansion; A Nation Divided; A Nation Divided and United; United States Involvement at Home and Abroad; The Search for Peace, A Nation at War; Contemporary America; and United States History Review.

Foreign Language: Spanish I at the Midlands Home School Resource Center.

Art: Kelsey has an interest in Anime and practices her drawings.

Music: We really are going to get guitars someday!  I have a piano...

Home Economics: Life lessons, crafts, sewing, cooking, etc. are all practiced.
