| Calling all Budding Journalists, Storytellers, Writers and Poets!
REACH has a new newspaper for you to submit your creative writing for all to see and enjoy! The brainchild of Amanda Camacho, it is called �REACH Out�. We estabished the Journalism Club in August 2006 and meet monthly for informal journalism classes and actual production instruction. Students interested in being a part of the ROJC (REACH Out Journalism Club), should plan on attending our meetings at my home in Irmo*. We take new members all year long. Please see the description of the club below. See the REACH Calendar for the date and time of our meetings. PERMISSION FORM FOR REACH OUT JOURNALISM CLUB STAFF APPLICATION FOR REACH OUT NEWS (about 3 pages) Parents - If you have any experience with journalism and would like to serve as a Parent Advisor, we would love to have you! (Can you say "REACH Job"?) We offer ADVERTISING for those REACH members and homeschool-friendly businesses that wish to advertise their business, services, etc. in "REACH Out". This will help us to defray the cost of publication. Business card-sized ads will be $5.00 for a one-time insertion. Call for other prices. | Announcing the 2008 Journalism Contest
Theme: "Workers with Disabilities: Talent for a Winning Team" The essay winner receives a four-year scholarship to the South Carolina state-supported institution of his or her choice. The scholarship pays for undergraduate tuition and fees*. You must be a South Carolinian 16 to 19 years old, and be a high school junior or senior**.
