Note: This religion is imaginary and it means no offence to any other religion. We'd also like to point out that everyone who follows this religion is insane. Think about it.
The Box Dweller religion is Polytheistic, meaning that they belive in many (redundant) gods. One of the major ones is called Scrambler, who created Ivan In-a-Box, the first Box Dweller. Another major god is The Plot Changing Guy, who moved the Box Dwellers from the world they were created in, to the world they now live in (see Info). All the gods have at least one story surrounding them that sounds like it means something but probably doesn't. Here is an example:
One day, Yusuk, God of breadcrumbs, was turning several loaves of bread into crumbs for the Box Dwellers to eat, when he found withing one of the loaves a golden trinket. He took it to Wogytus, Goddess of semi-precious stones, but she didn't know what to do with it because it was too precious. Yusuk then noticed that the Box Dwellers who would only eat breadcrumbs were starving, so he sold the trinket to a jeweller for a rather large amount of money and went back to work.
Box Dweller prayers are often short and make little sense, which some belive is a metaphore for the Box Dwellers themselves. Here is an example of a prayer to Siri, goddess of nighttime:
"Now I lay me down to sleep, don't let the bed bugs bite"
The Box Dweller gods all belong to the race of Lapisrefencrum. This term, although it technically means any god, is more commonly described as gods which don't have any power over the world of the Box Dwellers, but interact with the gods that do. Such gods are sometimes refered to as Scrambler's Friends, or connected with Phutyvinatmingtingtresxizookzook for the length of their name.
The Box Dweller holy book is called the Rather Large Book About a Guy Called Scrambler, though it isn't that large because Box Dwellers don't have a great idea of size. If you have anything to add to it, don't hesitate to contact us.
