Box Dwellers

Box Dwellers are Jack In-the-boxes, but whose names all end in -ivan In-a-Box. The first one was Ivan In-a-Box, who is held in great regard along with his brother Scrivan In-a-Box. Box Dwellers are not known for their intelligence or sanity, but their ignorance of logic can for some reason release them of it's hold. Box Dwellers are often seen with Stick Figures, with whom they share their world. Stick Figures are happy to give Box Dwellers a helping hand, explaining things the Box Dwellers don't understand. Of course, this doesn't mean that the Box Dwellers understand afterwards, but at least they think they do.

If you looked inside a Box Dweller's box, you would find many useless things. Most of these things Box Dwellers do not need, but they will keep them in there because they forget that they put them there. Within every box you probably will find rocks and/or socks, which Box Dwellers collect and wear, respectively.

Box Dweller origins are shrouded in mystery. What can be discovered is that they came from a place called the "Homeland", a "land of purple skies and many fluorescent colours." According to legend, the Plot Changing Guy (see Mythology) moved them to their current home, a world much more like our one but still surprisingly different. Box Dweller mythology tells us that this world was square, and at the four corners were four gates to the Box Dweller underworld (the Really Deep Place or RDP) guarded by the servants of 4 gods.
