| As I've said before, I am not much of a political person, in respect to politics that is, but I am a firm believer in fighting for different causes. | Gay rights. Mmmmm....I think we should call it HUMAN RIGHTS. Think about it. We, as gays and lesbians, are not asking for "special" rights...like being able to run red lights or robbing banks. | America Online, Inc. (AOL) Bans and removes people who discuss HIV/AIDS prevention. Barnes and Noble, Inc. Pulled POZ Magazine off the shelves of some of its locations. Boy Scouts of America Bans homosexuals from its organization (shocker!) Discovery Channel Refused to show an infomercial because of its positive gay content. Florida Orange Juice Engulfed in anti-gay causes and people. Federal Express Corporation Suing San Francisco because of its pro-gay domestic partners law. Ford Motor Company Pulled advertising from a TV show with gay themes. Johnson & Johnson Pulled advertising from the ABC network television show Ellen. NOTE: Some of the above have anti-discrimination policies, however....they choose to ignore them. |
