Who is Inu Yasha? Inu Yasha is a fictional character originally created in Japan, and then, later was translated into english.
Inu Yasha is the main character in the show Inu Yasha. There was a girl, Kagome, who went to get her cat, who went down the well. Kagome approaches the well and a centipede demon (dubbed 'misstress centipede') bursts from the well and grabs her.The demon claims she posses the Jewel of Four Souls (Shikon no Tama) a.k.a. the Shikon Jewel, and attempts to seize it. When the demon is driven off, the very confused Kagome emerges from the well in feudal Japan. Kagome wanders and meets an old preistess by the name of Kaede(ki-ay-day) who claims Kagome is the splitting image of Kaede's older sister, Kikyo who had died and her body burned with the Shikon Jewel, taking it with her in the afterlife. Kaede relates the story of how, 50 years earlier a hanyou (half human, half demon) named Inu Yasha had tried to steal the jewel from Kikyo, mortally wounding her in the process, but Kikyo had managed to strike him with an enchanted arrow, sealing him into an enchanted sleep, thus retrieving the jewel before she died. It turns out that Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyo and she does posess the jewel When mistress centipede rips it from her and swallow it, Kagome is forced to wake Inu Yasha so he can defeat the demon. Soon after the recover the jewel, they loose it again, as Kagome accidentally shatters it, the peices scatter far and wide.
As they search, they meet people who will join them, or oppose them for various reasons.
People they meet:
Shippo:
A young fox demon who's father was killed by the thunder brothers. In order to get revenge, Shippo tried to steal the shards from Kagome, but he's relatively weak, so he got caught easily.
Miroku:
A monk, but a flirt. He flirts with any pretty girl he sees, he even asked Kagome if she would bear his children!
Sango:
Sango is a demon slayer out to find her brother, whom had been kidnapped by Naraku.
Kirara(Kia-la-la:)
Is Sango's pet (and companion) cat demon.
