| After Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the Exorcist people were waiting to be scared again. They wanted something new and fresh, and they got what they were looking for. In 1978, Film makers John Carpenter and Debra Hill were given a small budget to make a movie called "The Babysitter Murders". With the small budget they accomplished to make their own creepy movie score, hire a few cast memebers (including Donald Pleasance, and Jamie Lee Curtis, the daughter of the original scream queen Janet Leigh), made a William Shatner mask even scarier! The movie wrapped up in only a few short months. What happend in the movie theaters was never expected. Millions were flocking to see this new brand of Horror. People saw that you didn't have to be in a totally un-likely situation, but you were in the "safety" of your own home in the Halloween series. Need-less to say... it scared the bejesus out of people then, and it's still scaring people today!! |
