Elizabeth lives by a lovely
lake,
Liking all the looking it invites.
Inside, the soul surrenders to its sights,
Zestful as the winds their wonders wake.
Alive with love for life, she winters well,
Being warm within as ice without
Embraces in its sparkling sheathes the boughs
That quiet sing a song no cold can quell,
Hard by the lake, white wasteland stark and
still. |
